Paoli

Paoli is a picturesque town with a rich heritage and a welcoming community. Established in the early 19th century, Paoli exudes small-town charm with its well-preserved historic architecture and friendly atmosphere. The town square is adorned with quaint shops, local eateries, and the historic Orange County Courthouse. Also the county seat, Paoli is the largest in population of the four towns that make up Orange County, Indiana.

The area is dotted with rolling hills, serene parks, and nearby lakes, providing residents and visitors with ample opportunities for outdoor recreation. Paoli Peaks, a popular winter destination, attracts skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts, adding a touch of adventure to the town's offerings. Whether strolling through the historic district or enjoying the scenic landscapes, Paoli invites individuals to experience the warmth of a close-knit community and the allure of a town that gracefully balances its rich history with the beauty of the Indiana countryside.

The nests are screened in 4-poster beds in the forest with lights, a ceiling fan, an outlet, curtains, and an excessive amount of pillows.  There is roughly a 100 yard walk down a dirt path to get to the nests, a showerhouse nearby with a bathtub on the roof, and a compost toilet not too far away.  These outdoor areas are shared with other guests but are not crowded.  There are traditional bathroom facilities, a communal kitchen, and common space for games and conversation located in our farmhouse about 150 yards down the path.  There are fire pits at both the farmhouse and guesthouse.  Dinner is complimentary each evening and is held just after our gratitude circle, and we are also accustomed to catering to those with dietary restrictions.  On the rest of the 29 acre property there is a labyrinth, a swimming hole, gardens, chickens, trails, a library, and access to The Lost River itself.  We hope to see you soon!
