Annual Christmas Show in French Lick, IN

Written by: (The Abbeydell Hall Dinner Theatre)

Opening November 30th, the Abbeydell Hall Dinner Theatre at the Legend of French Lick presents their annual Christmas show. “Christmas Treasures” is reminiscent of an Andy Williams Christmas show while fun and exciting like a Branson, MO stage production; this is a show for all ages. Branson producer, Rhett Thomas, has assured us a family-friendly atmosphere with music, dancing, laughter, and yes, the cast reflects on the most important treasure of all: Christ’s miraculous birth. With new added musical numbers, costuming, and stage production, this year’s show is filled with Christmas joy.  With seven performances and the growing support for live entertainment in French Lick, IN, "Christmas Treasures" is attracting large crowds and has quickly become a holiday tradition.

Heading into their third season, the Abbeydell Hall’s creative team continues to present original musical productions unique to French Lick. As cast members interact with the audience, the crowd is encouraged to sing along, enjoy the moment, cheer, and become part of the show and “Christmas Treasures” is no different. These seven incredibly talented entertainers have performed from Branson, MO to New York, and many of them now call Kentuckiana home. They will share heartfelt classics by Bing Crosby, the Carpenters, Andy Williams, Faith Hill, Alabama, and more, expressed through song and dance. Songs include: “White Christmas”, “I’ll Be Home for Christmas”, “Mary Did You Know”, “Winter Wonderland”, and the list goes on. The Abbeydell Hall wishes to leave you feeling uplifted and ready for Christmas during this most wonderful time of the year.

Something that you may notice when visiting the Abbeydell Hall is the presence of basketball history. This site is also known as the former residence of basketball legend Larry Bird. Even the basketball court that Bird and Johnson played on for a 1980's television commercial is still adjacent to the theatre. Mike and Debbie Hicks, the owners of the Abbeydell Hall, said, “Providing a home for live entertainment in French Lick, IN has been an enjoyable journey...a fun one at that”. Mike & Debbie also own the Comfort Suites of French Lick. For those who want to stay overnight, they have extended a hotel and show package.

“Christmas Treasures” is a limited run and it is important to order your tickets early. A dinner and show or show only option is available. For reservations call (812) 936-5300 or visit www.legendoffrenchlick.com.
