The Orleans Chamber of Commerce will host an Eclipse Watch Party on April 8, 2024.

If you want to experience the Total Eclipse of 2024, then make plans to take part in the variety of family friendly low-key type festivities planned for Historic Congress Square in downtown Orleans on April 8.

Buzy B's Kettle Corn and Boom Burgers, and Hometown Scoops food trucks will be here to provide you with a hot lunch, some refreshing lemon Shake-Ups, Eclipse themed ice cream treats and some other tasty snacks.

Food trucks will be open around 11am.  A number of hometown eateries will also be open for lunch that day.

Claire Roub from Sound Sational DJ Services will be playing some
of your favorite tunes in the park starting at 11:30 am. Then the Joel
Gragg Duo will play some lively Jazz and classics for us beginning at 2pm, and the popular band, Flatline finishes off a fun filled day for us that evening complete with a Beer Garden hosted by SpeakEasy.

Be sure to get your Eclipse viewing glasses at the Orleans Town Hall  (while supplies last) beforehand so you can safely see this amazing total eclipse, that is scheduled to put Orleans in total darkness at 3:08pm.  And you'll want to pick up a souvenir t-shirt from J & S Sportswear who will be set up in the park that day to commemorate this special day.

The Orleans Chamber also has a limited number of Eclipse over Orange County souvenir posters available for purchase as well.

Everyone is being asked to be patient while out and about on April 8 with the expected increase in traffic and people in town.  Be safe, and enjoy this unique experience.

Also planned for Eclipse weekend on Saturday, April 6th  from 10 to 11 am the Orleans Public Library will play host to a number of fun family
activities including modeling, crafting, stories, and a fun conversation all about the Eclipses.
